Hi friends and family!

We are about 8 months out from gathering with you all for our wedding. It's a great time to start finalizing and booking your travel arrangements.

We suggest requesting off October 3, 2025 - October 7, 2025 to enjoy the full wedding weekend.We understand this may not be possible for everyone. The big day is Sunday, October 5, 2025 and you should arrive in Lisbon no later than 10am on Sunday October 5, 2025 to be on time for the wedding.

If you are planning yourself, here is some helpful information.

Hotels

We have reserved a block of rooms at the Moxy Lisbon (link below).

The One Palacio Anuciada, where our wedding will be held, will provided a discount code for the market rate.

Both options allow you to book with free cancellation or change options until September 1, 2025. We recommend reserving these as soon as possible.

You may also book any hotel of your choice in Lisbon independently. If booking on your own we recommend staying in the following neighborhoods: Baixa, Bario Alto, Alfama, Chiado, Moorish Quarter or Príncipe Real.

Flights

Flights are currently ranging from $800 - $2500. We recommend setting flight alerts for your desired travel dates and airports to be aware of the best price for your trip.

Economy flights are currently $800 or less from most cities. They can drop to ~$600 from cities like New Orleans, Dallas, Atlanta and ~$400 from DC and NYC.

Premium Economy flights are ~$1500 currently and can go as low at ~$1200. Premium Economy flights offer a bit more comfort, think first class on a domestic flight. They include a premium meal and drink selection. These flights require a stop in Paris or London. If you are planning a trip to either of those destinations it may be worth considering. Also these flights can be booked with points via Virgin Atlantic. The points can be transferred from Amex, Capital One, Chase and more. They are usually ~40k points + $300 for roundtrip.

Business Class flights are ~$2500 round trip, they can go as low as ~$1800. Business Class flights have lie-flat seats allowing a decent night's rest on the plane. 

TAP Portugal offers a free stopover for their flights. This means you can book a flight to Paris, Barcelona or London and spend up to 10 days in Portugal without purchasing another ticket as all trans-Atlantic TAP flights stop in Lisbon or Porto.

Visas

United States passport holders do not require a visa to travel in the EU for 90 days or less. The EU has delayed it's ETIAS program requiring visa-free travel visitors to pre-register before travel. It does not look like it will be required before the wedding but we will notify you if things change. Those with passports that require a visa, information regarding the process can be found here.
